For schools considering Pleanóir

SET planning, step by step

This walkthrough follows the support-teaching flow in Pleanóir: set up the school once, record the caseload and pupil targets, then generate the weekly support plan and the SET Cúntas Míosúil from them.

The pupils shown are examples (Pupil A, B and C), not real children.

The walkthrough

1. Year Setup starts from the roll number

Type the roll number and the school name, county, school type and ethos fill themselves in from the Department's published data. Nothing is assumed — anything it doesn't hold is left for you to enter.

2. The support caseload and model

Group size, support hours, withdrawal or in-class, team teaching — recorded once for the year, then reused by every document.

3. Pupil targets in your own words

Initials, area of need, plan type and targets exactly as you write them. They are kept as typed and never reworded.

4. Choose the document

The weekly support plan, the Cúntas Míosúil, support plans, pupil profiles and more — all drawing on the same setup.

5. A short set of inputs

The week, the pupils covered and anything specific to it. Everything already saved is carried over rather than asked again.

6. The weekly support plan

Withdrawal and team-teaching slots laid out by pupil and group, ready to edit before you print or export.

7. Editable, pupil by pupil

Every section can be changed in place, and each edit is kept in the document's history.

8. The SET Cúntas Míosúil

The month's record set out pupil by pupil, in the format an inspector expects.

9. Built from what you entered

Each document carries a list of the details it was assembled from — no invented programmes, book chapters or supports.

Nothing is invented

Plans are built only from what you enter. Pleanóir does not invent programme names, book chapters, pupil supports or events you haven't given it, and every document shows the details it was built from.
